HOW TO Apply for the 2020 Japan Trip
DEADLINE: Steps 1-6 are due FEBRUARY 2, 11:59PM, 2019
① As a part of the application process, please read everything very carefully. Timeliness and attention to details are a part of the application process. Start by reading the Trip Announcement and sample itinerary so you understand exactly how this experience works. Additionally you must complete STEPS 2-7 to finalize your application. Check the Japan Exchange FAQs for answers to other questions, or email Mr. Van Krey.
② You will have a "social interview" where groups of applicants will interact with each other for a 30-minute "Japanese-only" session. Those sessions will be on Tuesday, January 29 or Thursday, January 31, 2019 between 3:50-4:20 in N233. Choose one of the slots and sign up by clicking this link.
③ Fill out the online application with a parent present ----> ONLINE APPLICATION Note that you must log in with your eths202.org school account to access the application.
④ Submit a digital copy/screenshot of your semester 1 grades to Google Classroom. Wait until at least Jan. 28 when grades have been verified.
⑤ Digitally initial and sign the Commitment/Expectations Contract with a parent/guardian and submit it to Google Classroom.
⑥ Complete your resume by clicking on this Google Doc template and submit it to Google Classroom.
⑦ Once steps 1-6 are complete, you will be sent a message via Google Classroom inviting you to sign up for an interview slot. Please wait 24 hours after completing your last step for the notification. Interviews are after school February 5, 6, 7, 2019. If you do not receive an email within 24 hours, please see Mr. Van Krey to confirm that all steps are complete. Don't assume you are done unless you've been invited for an interview. Also check that your Google Classroom notifications are turned on so you are alerted to my message.
Results will be delivered via email by the end of February, 2019.
